Crucibles & Saggers

Crucible

High‑temperature resistant containers sintered from refractory materials including alumina, mullite, graphite and cordierite. Main types: alumina corundum crucible, graphite crucible, quartz crucible, mullite crucible.Features: high temperature resistance, thermal shock resistance, corrosion resistance and contamination‑free. Widely used in metal melting, powder calcination, laboratory thermal analysis, lithium‑ion battery material sintering and metallurgical smelting. Available in cylindrical, conical and square shapes, with lids optional.

Sagger (Saggar)

Box‑shaped refractory firing supports, mainly made of high‑purity alumina, cordierite‑mullite, silicon carbide and graphite.Core functions: isolate flame, smoke and kiln impurities to avoid product contamination; stackable for higher kiln loading capacity.Applied in high‑temperature sintering of lithium‑ion battery cathode/anode materials, ceramics, rare earths, powder materials and electronic components. Custom sizes available.

Core Properties

  1. High temperature resistance: No deformation or softening at high temperatures, stable against rapid heating & cooling

  2. Chemical stability: Resist acids, alkalis, salt spray and molten media; no impurity precipitation

  3. High strength & wear resistance: Stable high‑temperature structure, crack‑proof and slag‑free

  4. High‑purity cleanliness: Low iron & low‑impurity composition, ideal for strict new‑energy and semiconductor conditions

Application Fields

  • New Energy: Sintering of lithium‑ion battery cathode/anode materials (LFP, ternary materials)

  • Laboratories: Thermogravimetric analysis, melting tests, high‑temperature vessels for tube furnaces & muffle furnaces

  • Metallurgy & Chemical Industry: Metal smelting, rare‑earth calcination, high‑temperature treatment of powder materials

  • Ceramics: Firing of daily‑use ceramics, structural ceramics and precision ceramics

  • Electronics & Semiconductors: Sintering of high‑purity powders, wafers and electronic components

Selection Guidelines

  • For temperatures above 1500 °C and contamination‑free requirements: Choose 99%/99.7% high‑purity alumina crucibles/saggers

  • For medium‑temperature regular sintering & budget‑friendly options: Choose cordierite‑mullite saggers

  • For rapid high‑temperature sintering & high thermal conductivity needs: Choose silicon carbide or graphite grades
